Please
note the following points about how to make your payment:
For
despatch to an address within India
You can pay the price either by Speed Money Order or
by Demand Draft (DD) – but not by cheque.
Cheques won't be accepted. You can also pay the price
by ordinary MO, but Speed MO is a far better (and of course,
quicker) option than an ordinary MO.
But
the safest method of payment would be by DD. You can
buy the DD from any scheduled/nationalized bank near your
place.
If
you're planning to send a DD, please do five things:
•
Make the DD payable to the "Adult Faculties Council".
• Make the DD payable at Ernakulam. Yes, at
ERNAKULAM.
• Make the DD “A/c Payee only”.
• Write your name and telephone number on the back
of the DD.
• Send the DD (along with the filled-in Order Form)
— preferably, by a leading courier service/speed post
(or by Regd. Post Ack. Due). Note this: Do not send
your DD by ordinary post. No!
IMPORTANT:
(1) If you want your DD and order form to be delivered to us extra fast (that is, faster than the registered post), please use the services of the Speed Post or a top-of-the-line courier agency that makes delivery directly. Do NOT send your payment and order form to us through a courier agency that makes delivery through a multi-layered network of agents and sub-agents. This is not safe. Such courier agencies or their agents and sub-agents may not deliver your packet to the addressee promptly. What is worse, they may even deliver the packet to unauthorized persons in the neighbourhood, rather than at the right address, outside office hours.
(2) If you are planning to send the DD and order form to us through a courier agency, please write the words “Deliver only to addressee” prominently, immediately above our address, on the face of the packet that you hand over to the courier.
(3) Please also preserve the way-bill/receipt that the courier agency gives you at the time of collecting packets from you for delivery. This proof of despatch will help you track the packet sent by you.
If
you're planning to send the amount by Speed MO or by Ordinary MO, you should do two things:
•
Write your name, full address and telephone number in the
space for communication (meant for the payee) in the MO.
You should do this.
• Rush your filled-in Order Form under separate cover,
so that it reaches us at the same time as your MO –
or even earlier. (Don't forget to do this).
For
despatch to an address outside India
If you want us to despatch the self-study books to an address outside India, you must make the payment by a “crossed
(A/c payee)” bank draft. And please do these five things:
•
Make the DD payable to the “Adult Faculties Council”.
• Make the DD payable at Ernakulam. Yes, at
ERNAKULAM.
• Make the DD “A/c Payee only”.
•
Write your name & address on the back of the DD.
• Send the DD (along with the filled-in Order Form)
— preferably, by a leading courier service/speed post
(or by Registered Post). Note this: Do not send your
DD by ordinary (unregistered post). No!
The
draft must be drawn in favour of “Adult Faculties Council”
on a bank at ERNAKULAM. Yes, the draft must be payable at
ERNAKULAM (in India), and nowhere else.
Please
also note the following additional points:
- The
amount payable must be paid by an “A/c Payee” DD. The DD must be drawn
in favour of “Adult Faculties Council” on a Bank at ERNAKULAM.
Yes, the DD must be payable at ERNAKULAM (in India), and
nowhere else.
- You
should not mail to us Indian or foreign currency in hard
cash.
- Non-Resident
Indians (NRIs): If you're a Non-Resident Indian (NRI),
and if you have an NRE bank account, you can pay the amount
by a cheque drawn on the NRE account. You'll have to add
Rs.150.00 or $3.80 US Dollars to the price of the books
to cover collection charges. But please note: If the payment
is made by cheque in this way, we'll only be able to send
you the lessons after the cheque is cleared by our bank.
Mind you, this may take at least 20 days. (But if the NRE
account cheque is payable at a bank at Ernakulam, this period
would be considerably shorter). So you can see one
thing: If you can pay the price by DD (rather than by cheque),
that speeds things up a lot.
- Other
buyers from outside India: Even if you're not a Non-Resident
Indian (NRI), you can pay the price from outside India by
cheque. You'll have to add Rs.150.00 or $3.80 US Dollars
to the price to cover collection charges. But
please note: If the payment is made by cheque in this way,
we'll only be able to send you the books after the cheque
is cleared by our bank. Mind you, this will take at least
4 weeks even in the normal course. So you can see one thing:
If you can pay the price by DD (rather than by cheque), that
speeds things up a lot.
- Please
note: There’s no instalment scheme for buyers from outside
India. All the books (for buyers
from outside India) will be mailed all at once in a single bundle,
and not in separate lots.
